“Profession Future” project - News

With reference to the project “Profession Future” ( BG051PO001-7.0.07-0067-C0001), implemented by Know and Can Association together with the English organization Dacorum, RIO- Sofia and RIO- Smolyan, with the financial support of the Operational Program Development of Human Resources/ the European Social Fund, a research was conducted. It was called “Research and analysis of the conditions of the business’ requirements for the qualities of staff on the labor market and the possibilities, which the educational system is offering”.

For 18 months under the project “Design thinking in the sphere of tourism” the following activities were carried out

The contract for the start of the project “Design thinking in the sphere of tourism” was signed on the 29-th of February 2012. The project is implemented under grant scheme: BG051PO001-7.0.01 “WITHOUT BORDERS- COMPONENT 1”.

The coordinator of the project is Know and Can Association- Sofia and partners within it are: ASSOCIATION OF RHODOPEAN MUNICIPALITIES- Smolyan, Bulgaria and CIBER ESPACIO SL- La Coruna- Spain.

The project is funded by Operational program “Development of Human Resources”, which is co-financed by the European Social Fund of the European Union

On the 1-st of July 2013 project “Profession Future” (number  BG051PO001-7.0.07-0067-C0001) started. It is being implemented with the financial help of Operational program “Development of Human Resources”, which is co-financed by the European Social Fund of the European Union (Grant scheme- “Without Borders- Component 1”- phase 2). The duration of the project is 18 months and the activities will be realized in Sofia (Bulgaria) and Hemel Hempstead (the United Kingdom).

Developing Expertise and Skills – on the 28-th of February 2013 three people were selected to go to the United Kingdom as senior volunteers.

On the 28-th of February 2013 three people were approved to depart to the United Kingdom as senior volunteers under the project “Developing Expertise and Skills” (DESK) , 2012-1-GB2-GRU14-085832, which is implemented by Know and Can  Association and Dacorum CVS.

Project SMAT (Social Media & Adult Training)

znam.i.moga.logo.1SMAT (Social Media & Adult Training) utilises exchange visits and forums to discuss the use of social media in adult education.  Know and Can Association is one of eight European partners in this project. The other partners are from Germany, Spain, Poland, Great-Britain, Turkey, Finland and Romania

Although EU reports show an increase in the use of the internet and social media in general, there are not many examples of successfully implemented methods for training courses based on social media. This partnership is sharing its knowledge in this area.

Developing Expertise and Skills

“Developing Expertise and Skills” (DESK) is a project to send / host six volunteers between two established community-based organisations. Dacorum CVS in Herts, UK, and Know and Can Association in Sofia, Bulgaria are active in supporting individuals to improve their confidence and quality of life through training and learning opportunities.
