Name: 4 Creativities

The main idea of the 4 Creativities project is to create a unique innovative educational tool to support teachers in their daily activities to provide high quality of teaching and present contemporary learning opportunities to their students.

The project is focused on the development and improvement of four different types of creativity, namely: mathematical creativity, linguistic creativity, scientific creativity and artistic creativity.

The aim of 4 Creativities project is to improve the teachers’ abilities to generate a creative education, leading to the creation of students who are able to think, analyse and solve daily problems.

By improving the teaching practice we aim to enrich the current environment in schools in Europe by means of incorporating new methodologies, experiences and knowledge in the formal educational system.

Through the project activities we will promote the active involvement of all students in the classroom. The project results are aimed to be used by teachers working with with 10 to 12 years old students, promoting their motivation and creativity as a fundamental ability to develop students in this age.

  • A compendium of 24 creative portfolios (activities) with descriptions of activities which will be piloted and implemented in the classroom, with the aim to boost the interest and motivation of students to learn and acquire life long learning skills. The portfolios will be grouped into four main categories, each one corresponding to the four creativities.

4 creativities logoThe complex and unpredictable international health situation did not allow the partners of 4 Creativities project to gather for the second face to face transnational meeting in Dublin, scheduled for 1 and 2 October 2020. Instead, they’ve met online via Zoom platform on 23rd September 2020, shortly after the start of the school year 2020/2021 in all partner countries.
The participants used the opportunity to share information about the current situation in their countries and schools as well as its impact on the next steps before the consortium. The work on the first two project intellectual outputs, namely Linguistic and Mathematical creativity was finalized in late summer. All activities are uploaded on the project website, available in English, Bulgarian, Romanian and Spanish languages.

4 creativities logoBefore taking a well-deserved summer vacation, the partners in project 4 Creativities (2019-1-BG01-KA201-062354) completed the first version of the second intellectual product of the project: Mathematical creativity.
The Mathematical Creativity module includes a variety of activities aimed at developing and improving students' motivation, logical thinking and mathematical skills through innovative approaches.
The very nature of mathematics provides a suitable platform for developing creativity. Mathematical creativity could be defined as the process that results in unusual and insightful solutions to a given problem, irrespective of its level of complexity. Mathematical creativity is observed when one generates a non-standard solution for a problem which may not be solved so easily using the conventional methods.

4 creativities logoAfter weeks of tireless work, the partners in 4 Creativities project (2019-1-BG01-KA201-062354) have completed their work on creating a pilot version of the first intellectual product. The module "Linguistic Creativity" includes a variety of activities aimed at developing and improving students' language skills through innovative approaches.
The results of the project are intended to be used by teachers working with students aged 10 to 12, stimulating their motivation and creativity.
The activities are diverse, fun and most of all easy to plan and implement! A complete list and links to them are given below:

The first partner meeting under 4 Creativities project was organized in Sofia, Bulgaria on 11th-12th November 2019 and was hosted by the project coordinator 6th Secondary School "Graf Ignatiev". Representatives of all partner institutions attended the event. The project partnership consists of two organisations per country - Ireland, Romania, Spain and Bulgaria. One partner is a school and the other is an NGO.
The main focus of presentation was the project idea, foreseen activities, planned results and impact. The partners discussed also the general project management and planned the near future tasks.

4 creativities logoBasic skills of different degrees of complexity are becoming increasingly important to enable full participation in all aspects of modern life. Deficits of basic skills (literacy, math&science, etc.) result in dropping out from school of young people and in consequence, their bad situation at the labour market, poverty and social exclusion.
The EU’s plan for tackling early school leaving aims to reduce the average drop-out rate to below 10% by 2020. To give their contribution to this ambitious goal, eight organisations (schools and NGOs) from 4 EU countries (Bulgaria, Ireland, Romania and Spain) developed the idea for the project “4 Creativities” (№2019-1-BG01-KA201-062354).
