Name: Social Entrepreneurship and Innovative Solutions SEIS Project gathers together 8 organisations from Europe and Latin America and focuses on providing capacity building for youth workers in the field of social entrepreneurship in order to equip them with skills, knowledge and tools for working with young people on this topic. Moreover, it aims to raise awareness about social entrepreneurship, its impact, importance and opportunities it offers, to engage youth in it, especially marginalized young people, to promote successful examples of social enterprises and to provide a platform for networking and knowledge-and ideas-sharing between peers and experts. It intends to make a valuable contribution to Europe’s 2020 Strategy for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth by focusing on social entrepreneurship as a means for contributing to solving the issue of youth unemployment, for involving and empowering marginalized youth, for promoting innovation and social inclusion on the regional level in Europe and Latin America. In the broader and more long-term aspect, the project aims to contribute to solving the issues related to unemployment of young people and the marginalization of certain groups in society who face difficulties in integrating in the labor market. |

In addition to the challenges posed by the project objectives, at the time of the implementation of the intercontinental exchanges of young entrepreneurs we unexpectedly faced an additional challenge in the form of quarantine due to the Corona virus outbreak.
Whether these and other remaining project activities will be implemented were discussed at an online meeting between the partners organised on 29th April 2020. The quarantine disrupted the timetable for the exchange of entrepreneurs between the participating countries. Some organizations managed to complete at least the first round of exanges, but not all.
From 22nd to 28th June 2019 in Valdivia, Chile, training for youth workers in social entrepreneurship, its impact, importance and opportunities for the personal and professional development of young people, especially those from marginalized groups, took place. The theoretical program was very diverse and interesting. Although many Europeans have passed through the city over the centuries and left their architectural, cultural and social footprint, we were impressed by the extremely high environmental standards that were also part of the projects presented during the training - many of them even implemented others challenging ideas.
Between February 20th and 22nd 2019 the first meeting of the international and intercontinental project on social entrepreneurship and innovative solutions took place.
A non-standard venue was chosen for the kick off meeting - the Petrohan Khan, on the ridge of the Balkan Mountains, where in a peaceful environment, without the hustle and bustle of the city, participants in the surrounding silence could rest from the long road and fully participate in the discussion and decision making of the project.
