If you are interested in short films, we would like to present to you 10 short movies created by talented and inspiring young people from Bulgaria on various social and societal topics. The movies were presented on a national film festival on January 3, 2024 in Hotel Borika, Chepelare.
Inspiring the younger generation: the film introduces us to two inspiring youth workers who share their views on the challenges facing young people today.
Cleaning in the park: the film takes us into the heart of Sofia and shows us young people armed only with determination and a garbage bag.
Concrete Horizons: the film takes us to the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, where the sea has long been our refuge, a place for relaxation and connection with nature.
Neighborhood Chronicles: the film takes us on a walk in the capital's Lozenets neighborhood, passing through beautiful, luminous gardens, delicate beds and many flowers intertwined among picturesque houses and low buildings.
A harvest of memories and wisdom: Zlokuchene, a place nestled in the valley of the Maritsa River, abounding in natural beauty and richness. This is the place where the girl telling this sweet story spent every summer vacation as a child, under the loving care of her grandparents.
Art & Tradition: The film tells the story of a young woman who overcomes various limitations with her strength of spirit and love for art.
Inspiring youth and building community: the film tells the story of a young man who overcomes various limitations in the Bulgarian business and living environment with the strength of his entrepreneurial spirit and love for his homeland.
The green breath of Sofia: See Sofia from a different angle. According to some it is very dark, dusty and unwelcoming, but for many of us it is the most beloved city, full of laughter, happy moments and beautiful places.
Threads of Tradition: In this film, the protagonist Srebra talks about how her hometown - Chepelare - inspires her to make art and create.
Sofia in strokes: In the heart of Sofia, amidst the cityscape, a canvas of creativity spreads. Street art, a living form of expression, has the power to turn concrete into compelling stories.
