GOLIC GUIDE project (2014-1-PL01-KA202-003400) is funded by Key Action 2 “Cooperation for Innovation and the Exchange of Good Practices”, Sub-Action “Strategic Partnerships for Vocational Education and Training” of the Erasmus + programme. The duration of the project is 2 years and it is aimed at the delivery of training in foreign languages for tourism professionals, especially tourist guides.
The partnership that will be responsible for the implementation of the project activities consists of: Danmar (Poland), Sea Teach S.L. (Spain), Iberika (Germany), Giresun Egitimciler Dernegi (Turkey), YouNet (Italy) and Know and Can Association (Bulgaria).
The main aim of the project is raising the indicator of employability among tourist guides and improving their vocational competences. This shall be done by means of improving their language skills through providing m-learning language courses tailored to their professional needs. The courses will be available in the following languages: English, German and Spanish.
The project will achieve this aim through the accomplishment of three specific objectives:
• developing language courses tailored specifically to the needs of tourist guides
• developing a catalogue of good practices guide for foreign tourists in compliance with the differences between countries of origin
• developing a m-learning content delivery space for the target group (English, German and Spanish language courses)
The project responds to the need of fostering the provision and the assessment of key-competences, including basic skills and transversal skills, especially, entrepreneurial, linguistic and digital skills.
