Know and Can Association has the pleasure to invite you to take part in a training seminars in the frame of project „JudEx+: Towards a child-friendly justice in cases of sexual violence against children“ № JUST/2014/RCHI/AG/PROF/7036, which will be held on the following dates:
12-13.06.2017 – Pernik (Bulgaria)
19-20.06.2017 – Sofia, (Bulgaria)
The seminars are aimed at teachers, trainers, psychologists, pedagogical counselors and other pedagogical staff, representatives of NGOs and educational institutions and other stakeholders. During the events representatives of Know and Can Association will present the innovative Professional capacity development programme on child-friendly communication in judicial proceedings in cases of sexual violence against children. The main aim of the event is to provide improved preparation of multidisciplinary teams of professionals to help children victims of violence in order to better serve the needs of children.
The project is funded by the Rights, Equality and Citizenship Programme of the European Union and its lifetime is 2 years – October 2015 till September 2017.
The main goals of the project are as follows:
• To promote Article 12 of the UNCRC and the CoE Convention on the Protection of Children against sexual exploitation and sexual abuse in relation to the right of the child to be heard and involved in decision making, whether at home, in the general life of the community, at school or in individual legal or administrative matters in cases of sexual violence.
• To improve the child’s experience position when entering the judicial system in cases of sexual violence against children
• To improve the skills of professionals involved in representing children in judicial proceedings through trainings which take into consideration children’s rights, their developmental needs and social background in countries where the Lanzarote Convention has been recently ratified.
