The work on Keep me safe project is moving forward

projectslogo.keepmesafeThe second project meeting was held on 5 and 6 December in Marseille at the EuroCircle office.
On the first day of the meeting, the results so far were presented, namely a summary report based on national studies, focus groups. There are many different types of problems in the partner countries, as well as common problems for all. In some countries, the legal definitions are not clear and complete, there are clear indications that many are misunderstood or misinterpreted.

In many countries, there are major differences in legislation for children and minors. Lack of appropriate content and form training also creates problems for proper prevention work with young people.
The knowledge and skills that youth workers need in order to successfully work in an intercultural, very religious environment, necessary for early detection and understanding of sexual abuse, for developing personal prevention and protection skills, leadership and communication skills needed for peer discussions and guidance.


Preparation for the basic training course has also started. It provides 4 modules with several submodules in each. Understanding Sexual Abuse, Cultural Determinants of Sexual Abuse Perceptions, Attitudes and Behaviors, Protecting the Youth Segment, KMS Techniques: Proactive Communication with Peers on Sexual Abuse. The topics were distributed among the partners for research and preparation of up-to-date content and approaches.
