Keep Me Safe Expands The Geography

projectslogo.keepmesafeDue to the limited opportunities for contacts due to quarantine, the Association used every opportunity to expand the geography of youth workers in the country working on the project.

Thus, on July 30th and 31st, meetings were held with youth workers from the Municipal Children's Complex in Chepelare, Southern Bulgaria, to whom were introduced the topics of the project, goals, results already achieved and upcoming events. The region is characterized by multiethnic and multilingual diversity, the issues addressed in the project are close to local youth workers and the prepared materials will be of great benefit to them in future work. The young people expressed their readiness to participate in the upcoming trainings, even in the online version.

From 17th to 21st August, together with a theater group in the form of a forum theater, the topics of the project were presented in 7 settlements in Central Northern Bulgaria to vulnerable groups. The scene productions also addressed topics of physical danger to young people - various addictions, low education, dropping out of the education system, as well as topics of sexual violence, prevention, prevention opportunities and ways to counteract. The active participation of the audience showed that the problems are not foreign, and the proposed methods of struggle, provoked heated comments after the events themselves.
