ForProve Theatre - Newsletter 2

The parnershipof the ForProve Theatre project has developed a training methodology which will stimulate young people to think "out of the box".

The main aim of the ForProve Theatre methodologyis to see how the combination between the two theatres - Improve and Forum, has created a new method which is going to be used for the purposes of the non-formal education in different fields.

ForProve Theatre methodology based onthe existing method of the Forum theatre and Improv theatre technique, an innovative method of ForProve theatre was created. This method combines the positive sides of the existing approaches and avoids their weaknesses. The method serves as a tool for stimulation of the entrepreneurship by providing innovative, interesting and new way for problem solving, management, improvisation in different situations, decision making and etc. The knowledge and skills in connection to these topics are essential for the young entrepreneurs because they will stimulate them to be more self-confident and to start up a new business and at the same time will prepare them to cope with some of the tasks and challenges when they have their own business.

Theater in education, especially in non-formal education, can be used as a stimulus for depicting real life situations by artistic approaches and at the same time giving direct and indirect decisions for them. The interaction between co-actors and co-audience can turn the fictional text into a real life scene exploring aspects of human experience and relationships.

Duration of the project:01.10.2015 - 31.10.2017

Future activities: ForProve theatre training course will be held on the7th – 11th of November, 2016 in Sofia, Bulgaria.

The international training event has an essential part for the project results as it is the event where the new innovative method will be presented to youth workers (the direct project target group) and they will be trained how to implement this method. During the training the participants will learn how to implementthe new method in their work in order to stimulate youth entrepreneurship and how to use the project products. 24 youth workers will take part of the training (each partner will select 4 participants). The participants will be selected considering previously agreed by partner’s criteria for selection.
