VALITS contrubuted in two years time to change the perspectives and perceptions of hundreds of seasonal workers by involving them in hands-on activities, providing them tools to recognise their transversal skills and making them more competitive on the labour market.
Seasonal Tourist workers develop in this sector a wide range of informal transversal skills that contain high potential for increasing an individuals’ employment opportunities and personal development. Harnessing these skills and exploiting more effectively this unused labour, the VALITS Project created a validation and recognition system of existing skills and competences in line with ECVET and EQF principles in the form of a ‘Validation Tool’. The VALITS Project additionally provides a ‘Career Guidance Application’ to offer the users targeted suggestions and advice on career opportunities based on their skillset.
