From 11th to 15th February in Sofia and Bourgas, trainings are being carried out with new ToolBox and the new methodology of the E4Sci 2.0 project, led by Luis Souto and Rosa Pinho from the University of Aveiro, Portugal. In Sofia, the training took place in the building of the 93th SU "Aleksandar Teodorov-Balan" https://www.93sou.com/ , where for two years there was a class with forensic science profile. Apart from representatives of Know and Can Association, teachers - forensics, biology, chemistry, physics teachers, as well as students from the forensics classes - were invited. There were also guest teachers from other schools.
The training was divided into two main parts - theoretical - where the reasons for the selection of the exercises included in the methodology, their direct and indirect connection with the school curriculum and the subjects in which they could be useful for syudents and their inclusion in the natural sciences were justified. And practical, where most of the exercises included in the toolkit were demonstrated with the active participation of students and techers. It was emphasized that the choice of exercises was looking for a financially affordable option so that the exercises could be easily restored as materials. In addition to the traditional interest in blood and fingerprints exercises, new healthy life habits have also been of interest, focusing on the detrimental effects of sugar and alcohol.
The host of the training in Bourgas was the English Language School http://gpaeburgas.org/ , which besides the friendly household also tried to ensure the presence of many teachers and students with appropriate teaching profiles from other schools in Bourgas that even the region.
An opportunity to try themselves as a forensics have teachers and students, and in the follow-up open discussion they shared their satisfaction and interest in the ToolBox and opportunities it gives. Willing to engage in the Forensic European Network has been attended by almost all teachers attending the training as well as in particimation in competitive city or even national forensic week after receiving the ToolBoxes.
