A training for teachers was held on the 24-th and 25-th of April 2015 at 2-nd Secondary School Acad. Emiliyan Stanev in Sofia. The training was organized within project “Euro4Science: Exploring « CSI Effect » and Forensic Sciences to boost the appeal of science to young people and reinforce interdisciplinarity in European high schools” (project number 2014-1-PT01-KA200-001012 / 947100241)
The event was jointly organized by Know and Can Association and 2-nd Secondary School. Specialists from the University of Aveiro (Portugal) introduced 15 teachers to the Forensic Science Toolbox and the Handbook which were created under the project. Both of them are related to the possibilities for using the methods of criminology and forensic science during science classes. The approach aims at stimulating the interest of students in science and prevention of the "drop-out" effect.
