The beautiful and not so hot summer Granada hosted the second international partner meeting under the BI-NEW project. Due to a change in the project's pre-set financial resources, the meeting was held simultaneously with the first pilot training.
During the meeting the first intellectual product - Methodology for Mental Arithmetic for different age groups was presented. Also during the meeting were demonstrated the types of exercises that were the basis of the practical activities during the trainings and are part of the Methodology. The main topic of the meeting was the preparation of the second intellectual product - a collection of exercises (Repository) to assist trainers in formal and non-formal education. After a heated discussion, a common solution was reached about the format, topics and deadlines in which each partner would prepare exercises. Exercises will be discussed and adopted later and will be selected for three age groups 6-7 years, 8-15 years and over 16 years. This selection will take place at the next partner meeting in Athens (Greece), which will take place on 14 and 15 January 2020, again combined with training. For the dates of the training follow us on Facebook. The training dates were also set for the Bollow (Turkey) training - 27, 28 and 29 September 2019.
Partners from Matera (Italy) presented the progress in project dissemination. Once the first intellectual products, training and video footage are produced, there will be much more resources to inform about the potential of the project.
Trainers from Umni Detsa (Bulgaria) shared their learning experiences as well as the feedback they received from the trainees. A training questionnaire was prepared from the partners from AKMI (Greece), the results of which will serve to adjust the form and content for future trainings.
