Fruitful training event in Prague - games and work

T GAMES logo“Game Methodology Training” was a short-term joint staff training event which involved 24 educators, teachers and experts in the field of education, hosted by Mise HERo in Prague, Czech Republic in the period 5th-9th July 2021. The event had a total duration of 30 hours face-to-face training (6 hours per day), followed by 10 additional hours dedicated to self-learning after the participants returned home.

The training was based on peer to peer learning, exchange of good practices, teaching techniques and mutual support. The participants were equipped with new skills, competences and knowledge, as well as they exchanged good teaching methods enabling them to improve their work with children.

The main aim of training event was to train the participants in using and implementing the innovative “Methodology for elaboration of educational games” dedicated to bullying prevention among kindergarten and primary school students aged 4-10 y.o.

The participants in the training had the opportunity to gain the following new knowledge and practical skills: what is bullying and what is impact on social well-being and conduct; how to address the issue of bullying among children and how to train parents and other teachers on the topic; how to allow children to tackle and understand the topic of bullying according to their needs and abilities; how to analyze the typology of children, their motivations, behaviors, immediate and long-term impact of their actions (either as victims or aggressors); how to use the innovative methods gamification, serious games and LARP (Life Action Role Play) into their everyday work with children to tackle the negative effects of bullying and aggression.

After the intensive training program, all participants were very satisfied by their involvement in the event and were positively charged with new ideas, knowledge and practical skills that will support them in their work.
