Know and Can Association is a partner in the project “Inter-Cultural Dimension for European Active Citizenship” (IDEA-C) 555616-CITIZ-1-2014-IT-CITIZ-NT. The project is financed by Europe for Citizens Programme 2014 – 2020, Measure 2.2, Strand 2 Network of the city. Coordinator of the project is the Italian organisation „EProjectConsult – European Institute for Training and Research“. Leader of the project is the City of Geraci Siculo, Italy. 13 partner organisations from different European countries take part in the project.

The first partner meeting under the project was successfully held on the 14th of November 2014 in Geraci Siculo (Sicily, Italy). A dissemination event was organized on the 15th of November 2014. More than 100 people took part in this event. A technical session was held by two professionals: Victoria Hristova from Znam I Moga (Bulgaria) and Vincenzo Antonelli, professor at “Luiss” University of Rome (Italy). Their participation was respectively related to the concept of democracy in Europe and the importance of active participation as European citizens. A photo exhibition was also set up. Each partner selected two photos representing the sense of citizenship and democracy in their country.
