After two years filled with hard work and challenges, the UPthEM project partnership is extremely glad to present the final version of the UPthEM TRAINING PROGRAMME "Upskilling pathways for employability"!
The programme combines aspects of entrepreneurship and employability training curricula with role-play simulation exercises on the process of looking for employability options or of starting a business. The programme design entails four modules, considered key to a successful career based on the current and future labour market and combined in a unique way providing new and different point of view, in which lies the innovativeness of the product as well as its contribution to the already existing practices and materials in all partner countries and EU level:
1. Green Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Development - the EU actively promotes joint environmental policies and employment, and the so-called “green jobs” take up an important niche in the labour market in Europe. It tackles the need for promotion of green entrepreneurship and green jobs in view of the current climate situation.
2. Social Empowerment - this module is considered to boost the participants’ change in life and also supports their social integration. The social empowerment is very important, especially for people still trapped in a communist model, it aims to encourage them to speak up, get involved and create social impact, even if they come from different sorts of disadvantaged areas.
3. Creative Thinking - the soft skills involved in this module are key to the entrepreneurial world and thus the module supports the participants in discovering how they can use activities they like and specific skills and talents to make difference to the others and themselves.
4. Building Self-Esteem - the module supports the participants from disadvantaged groups in overcoming disadvantages and accomplishing set goals.
The objective of the programme is the formulation of knowledge, skills and competences in the area of entrepreneurship to be acquired by the adult trainees with disadvantaged background as well as teaching methods and techniques.
The programme purports in aiding the trainers that are to implement it by enhancing their skills and knowledge on content and teaching methods that will enable the effective learning of adults from disadvantaged background in gaining entrepreneurship skills and knowledge.
