Basic skills of different degrees of complexity are becoming increasingly important to enable full participation in all aspects of modern life. Deficits of basic skills (literacy, math&science, etc.) result in dropping out from school of young people and in consequence, their bad situation at the labour market, poverty and social exclusion.
The EU’s plan for tackling early school leaving aims to reduce the average drop-out rate to below 10% by 2020. To give their contribution to this ambitious goal, eight organisations (schools and NGOs) from 4 EU countries (Bulgaria, Ireland, Romania and Spain) developed the idea for the project “4 Creativities” (№2019-1-BG01-KA201-062354).
The “EDUC’ACTION” catalogue is a product of the project “DROP IN”. It is meant to be used by facilitators, in different subjects, to support them in everyday work with students. The general goal of the innovative tool is to enhance the capacities of the facilitators to stimulate active engagements and to maintain sustainable motivations for learning among the students by using the methods of non-formal education applied in a classroom environment.
