Clothes make the man?

erasmus.enOne member of Know and Can Association took part in the training course Clothes make the Man? which was held between the 27-th of March and 5-th of April 2015 in Potsdam, Germany. The training was funded by Key Action 1 of the Erasmus + programme and was attended by 36 youth workers from Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Georgia, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain and Turkey.

The aims of the training were to introduce youth workers to new tools for fighting discrimination and stereotypes through the acquisition of theatre costume design techniques. The roots that lead to discrimination as well as the consequences  for its victims were discussed during the course. The participants also shared the methods that they use in their work with vulnerable groups such as immigrants, refugees, disabled people, homosexuals, etc.

Various non-formal education methods such as presentations, discussions, working in small intercultural groups, role games, problem solving and simulations were used during the training.
