PARENTBANK: 2nd Training of practitioners working with single parents

ParentBank LogoOn 1th and 2nd, October 2020 in Smolyan was held the second training of professionals working with single parents under the ParentBank project.

The problems of single parents were especially highlighted during the quarantine around the emergency situation due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Practitioners working with single parents from different NGOs participated in the training sessions, for building literacy, numeracy, digital and entrepreneurial skills for enhancing their knowledge for working with single parents. The training started with the presentation of ParentBank project, activities, and intellectual outputs. The training focused on the seven modules of the first intellectual product and the theory and practical exercises for the following competences were presented and discussed: communication in mother tongue, mathematical competence and basic knowledge in science and technology, digital competence, sense of initiative and entrepreneurship, learning to learn, social and civic competences, project-based learning. The participants found the presented modules and innovative methods of teaching very useful for their work with single parents.
On the second day of the training, the participants used the project-based learning methodology for group work exercises on the design of timebank.
