Newsletter II

golic.logoIn this Newsletter we have two very good pieces of news: the GOLIC GUIDE national research has officially been concluded and the second GOLIC GUIDE meeting between partners, held in Mallorca 6-7.05.2015 was a great success. Many crucial steps have been made towards making GOLIC GUIDE the language app a reality.

Next steps

During the second meeting that took place in Mallorca, in early May, the partners decided upon the next steps to be undertaken towards creating the GOLIC GUIDE app. They decided to create language modules ( containing vocabulary and grammar exercises) focused on the following semantic areas:

•    Welcoming of foreign tourists (reception, self-presentation, presentation of general rules);
•    Accommodation ( description, recommendations of different options, assistance);
•    Tour and Activity Plan ( schedule of visits, presentation of the following steps, Trip Rules);
•    Regional tourist attractions - geography
•    Regional tourist attractions – traditions and gastronomy
•    Regional tourist attractions – history
•    Presenting a city ( architecture, historical facts and legends, main attractions, important locations);
•    Presentations of specific landmarks (e.g. monuments, castles, temples, natural objects and the like).
•    Negotiations and complaints
•    Unexpected situations (e.g. theft, accident, problems/conflicts between group members, delay)

What is GOLIC GUIDE? The Partners.
