On January 15th and 16th 2016 seven organisations from six EU countries (Cyprus, Bulgaria, Italy, Slovenia, Sweden and the United Kingdom) have come together in Cyprus for the first partnership meeting of JudEx+: Towards a child-friendly justice in cases of sexual violence against children (JUST/2014/RCHI/AG/PROF/7036). The humanitarian and independent institution “Hope For Children” UNCRC Policy Center, is the leading partner of this project funded by the Rights, Equality & Citizenship programme of the European Union, implemented in cooperation with Know & Can (BG); Frederick University (CY); CESIE (IT); Folkuniversitetet (SE); University of Primorska (SI), and Rinova (UK).

euro4science.logoFrom the 14th to 18th of March the CSI week in Bulgaria which is a part of Euro4Science project was held.  The event was very interesting, funny, useful for the students and full with variety of interactive activities. It started on Monday with cultural activities in 2nd High School “Acad. Emilian Stanev”. Twelve students from the UK and ten from Portugal were hosted by the school staff and youth who were dressed with traditional costumes, had brought traditional food and played Bulgarian folklore music. Special welcome programme was prepared in order to familiarize the visiting students with Bulgarian culture and the traditions of the school.

logoMember of Know and Can team has participated a Training about building intercultural competences in SMEs hosting European mobilities, implemented by Erasmus+ program. The aim of the conducting of this training seminar was representatives of organizations, which send, coordinate and host Europeans mobility in Bulgaria, to develop their intercultural competence.

The event was held on 10th and 11th of March 2016 in Best Western Plus City Hotel, Sofia.

Know and Can’s team together with the Headmaster, teachers and students form 2nd High school “Emilian Stanev” have hosted two groups from the UK and Portugal. During the week series of interesting activities connected to the theme of criminology are going to be undertaken. The event has started with cultural programme, presented by the students from 2nd school. During the next days there are going to be implemented various presentations, games, workshops, discussions, visits of places with high cultural and historical importance.

The active work on the project „ROBIN- “Reinforcing  cOmpetences to Build Inclusion through a New learning methodology”  with project number: 2015-1-RO01-KA204-015001, continues.

The activities which we are currently implementing were agreed during the first partner meeting in Bucharest. The event was held in January and was organized by the Romanian organisation(and project coordinator) Terre des hommes. Representatives of all partner organizations attended the meeting. The Bulgarian participation was ensured by the managers of Know and Can Association. The event lasted one day and during it were discussed several issues: already implemented activities, as for example the Plan for Research of the methodologies used within the second chance programmes for children on the move and on the other hand, the activities which will be implemented in future- as for example the realization of the research; the elaboration of Risk mitigation plan etc.

citizenship.logoOn 13th of February 2016 was held the final partner meeting in connection to the project „Inter-Cultural Dimension for European Active Citizenship (IDEA-C)“ with project number: 555616-CITIZ-1-2014-IT-CITIZ-NT. The event took place in the city of Krakow(Poland). It was hosted by the Polish organisation „Multikultura”. Know and Can Association was represented by four experts from its staff. During the meeting were discussed: the results of the project; the plans for dissemination of the outcomes; and the future cooperation among partners. citizenship.logoOn 15th of December 2015 two experts from Know and Can Association organized a workshop in connection to the project „Inter-Cultural Dimension for European Active Citizenship (IDEA-C)“ - 555616-CITIZ-1-2014-IT-CITIZ-NT. The event was held in 119th High school „Acad.Mihail Arnaudov“. 22 students at the age of 16 and 17 took part in the workshop. Important themes as EU citizenship and opportunities for youth participation in EU projects were addressed.
